An owl on a computerMs. Doughty’s 8th Grade ELA

We’re currently reading “Flowers for Algernon,” a short-story adaptation of the original novel by Daniel Keyes.

In this unit, we will explore human intelligence, theories of intelligence, and the impact that intelligence has on individuals and society as a whole through a variety of fiction and non-fiction texts. Students will craft an argument determining whether the main character of “Flowers for Algernon,” Charlie Gordon’s, life was improved or worsened by his experimental surgery.
